If unable to access the app, temporary internet files can also be cleared by doing a force stop and clear data<\/a> of the Chrome app. However, using that method results in all settings\/preferences (e.g., browser bookmarks) being cleared on your Androidâ„¢<\/span> device.<\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Chrome app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Tap the
    3\u002Ddot Menu<\/div><\/span> then tap
    History<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Select
    Delete browsing data<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Tap the Time range
    Dropdown menu<\/div><\/span> then select the range to clear (e.g., Last hour, All time, etc.).<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. Select from the following:<\/div><\/span>
    • Browsing history: A listing of URLs (websites) you\x27ve visited. <\/div><\/li>
    • Cookies and site data: Deleting cookies removes your saved preferences. Websites may prompt you for your login info again.<\/div><\/li>
    • Cached images and files: The browser saves website content to your device, making pages load faster by only downloading new or changed content on your next visit.<\/div><\/li>
    • Tabs<\/div><\/li>
    • Saved passwords<\/div><\/li>
    • Autofill form data<\/div><\/li>
    • Site settings<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
