View this info if you have a Screen Overlay error on your Android device.<\/div><\/div>

If you see a \x27Screen overlay detected\x27 error (see example image below) on your Androidâ„¢<\/span>device, it\x27s caused by conflict between a running app and a newly installed app requesting permission to display info on multiple screens (e.g., messengers, alerts, battery status, etc.).<\/div><\/div>

Open the

If you\x27re unable to access settings, first place your device into Safe mode<\/a>.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Search icon<\/div><\/span> at the top then enter
over other apps<\/div><\/b> into the search field.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap one of the following:<\/div><\/span>
Draw over other apps<\/div><\/li>
Display over other apps<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
Tap any app on the list to then tap one of the following to turn on or off:<\/div><\/span>
Allow display over other apps<\/div><\/li>
Permit drawing over other apps<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
From a Home screen, relaunch the app.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
If prompted, tap the available permissions (e.g., Permit Drawing over other apps, Contacts, etc.) to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span>
