Real\u002Dtime text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written without waiting or the need for an additional device.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div>

Change RTT Visibility<\/div><\/h2>

From a Home screen, tap the

Phone icon<\/div><\/span> (lower\u002Dleft).<\/div><\/span>

If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap

Phone<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>

Navigate:

Menu icon <\/div><\/span>

Settings<\/div><\/span>

Accessibility<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Tap

Real Time Text<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Tap

Only During Calls<\/div><\/li>

After choosing the appropriate setting, tap the

back arrow icon<\/div><\/span> (upper\u002Dleft) several times to return to the calling screen.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Make a Call with RTT<\/div><\/h2>

If \x27When Placing Calls\x27 was selected under the RTT visibility setting, from a Home screen, tap the

Phone icon<\/div><\/span> then make a phone call.

If unavailable, swipe screen up to access all apps then tap

Phone<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/div>

Once the call connects, RTT displays.<\/div><\/div>

Switch a Call to RTT<\/div><\/h2>

If \x27Only During Calls\x27 was selected under the \x27RTT visibility\x27 setting, while on a call, navigate:
