Transferring your SIM card or eSIM ensures you keep your existing phone number and service when activating your Pixel BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) smartphone.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
Verify you have the source and target Androidâ„¢<\/span> devices. The source device is the previous Android device with an active line. The target device is the BYOD Pixel device that you want to transfer the eSIM or physical SIM to.<\/div><\/div>
The BYOD device must be unlocked<\/a>. Only unlocked devices are eligible for dual SIM functionality.<\/div><\/div>
Ensure both devices are updated to Android 10 or higher and Google Play Services on version V23.45.23 or higher, are connected to Wi\u002DFi and have a passcode.<\/div><\/div>
Both devices must be charged and kept close together while the SIM \/ eSIM transfers. <\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Transfer During Initial Setup \u002D QR Code<\/div><\/h2>
  1. During initial device setup, from the Set up using another device screen, tap
    Pixel or Android device<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. From the target device, open the QS scanner and scan the QR code in the new device.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. From the source device, select a SIM to transfer then tap
    Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Verify SIM phone number then tap
    Transfer<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. To allow for the carrier eSIM to transfer tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

    Transfer Using SIM Manager<\/div><\/h2>
    1. Open the
      Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. Navigate:
      Network \x26 internet<\/div><\/span>
      SIMs<\/div><\/span>
      Add SIM<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    3. Tap
      Transfer SIM from another device<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    4. From the Confirm your network screen, tap your desired network.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    5. From the \x27Transfer a SIM\x27 screen, tap
      Pixel or Android device<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    6. From the target device:<\/div><\/span>
      1. From the \x27Transfer SIM\x27 prompt, tap
        Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
      2. Open the QS scanner and scan the QR code in the new device.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
      3. From the source device, review the \x27ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ SIM transferred\x27 screen then tap
        Settings<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      4. Tap the SIM name (e.g., ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ, etc.).<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      5. Tap the
        Use eSIM switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
