Location access is needed by ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family and the ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family Watch app to share the location of your smartwatch.<\/div><\/div>

Share Location with Apple Watch<\/div><\/h2>

Open the

App Store<\/div><\/span> on your Apple®<\/span> Watch®<\/span> then install the following depending on your user role:<\/div><\/span>

ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family app (for Guardians and Members)<\/div><\/li>

ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family Companion app (for Dependents)<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>

From the smartwatch, open the

ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family Watch app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>

Ensure your watch Family app and mobile Family app are open at the same time.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>

If prompted, do any of the following:<\/div><\/span>

To turn on notification permission

From the Allow notifications prompt, tap

Allow<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>

View the confirmation that your watch\x27s location is being shared then press the

Home button<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>

To turn on location permission

From the Share this watch\x27s location prompt, tap

Share location<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>

Tap

Use precise location<\/div><\/span> to turn on.<\/div><\/li>

Tap

Allow While Using<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>

Tap the ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family notification confirming your (or your child\x27s) smartwatch is sharing location.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

For the best experience, add the ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Family complication to your watch face to use location sharing by doing the following:<\/div><\/span>

On your phone, open the

Tap the image of your current watch face.<\/div><\/li>

Scroll to the Complications section then tap on a slot.<\/div><\/li>
