Use the Gateway 5G Optimizer to find the spot in your home with the strongest 5G signal. This could improve your internet speeds and stability.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
Use the
ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Home app<\/div><\/b> on your mobile phone for this process.<\/div><\/div>
Keep your Gateway plugged in for the initial test. You will need to unplug it to move it later.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Home app, tap
    Equipment<\/div><\/span> in the top left, then select your
    ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Internet Gateway<\/div><\/b>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. From the Gateway Details screen, tap
    Gateway 5G Optimizer<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Tap
    Test 5G signal<\/div><\/span> to check the strength at your current location.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Use the onscreen
    5G tower map<\/div><\/span> to see the direction of your closest tower.<\/div><\/span>

  5. Unplug your Gateway and move it to a window or wall facing the tower.<\/div><\/span>
    For the best results, place the Gateway on a higher floor and avoid cabinets or metal obstructions.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  6. Plug the Gateway in at the new spot and wait for the status light to turn solid white.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  7. In the app, tap
    Test new spot<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  8. Compare the results. If the new signal is stronger, tap
    Keep this spot<\/div><\/span> to finish.<\/div><\/span>
