Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>

Don\x27t attempt to insert or remove the SIM card while your iPad is powered on. Doing so may harm the SIM card and \/ or the device.<\/div><\/div>
Don\x27t modify or alter your SIM card.<\/div><\/div>
iPad Pro \/ Air (2024) and newer devices do not have an option for a physical SIM card and can only be activated with an eSIM.<\/div><\/div>
Ensure the device is powered off.<\/div><\/div>
Based on the iPad model, refer to Remove or switch the SIM card in your iPad<\/a> to determine the SIM tray location.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
Use the SIM eject tool (or paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot. <\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Remove or insert the SIM from \/ into the SIM card tray.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
To insert the tray back into the iPad, align the slot then press in on the tray to lock it into place.<\/div><\/span>
