Windows 10 \u002D Format SD \/ Memory Card<\/div><\/h1>
Here\x27s how to erase all data on the SD \/ memory card of your Windows 10 device.<\/div><\/div>
  • Formatting permanently erases all data on the SD \/ memory card.<\/div><\/li>
  • Ensure the tablet is connected to a power source before performing this process. Failure to do so could result in power loss and possible damage to the SD \/ memory card.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section>
    1. Open
      File Explorer<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
      From the Home screen, navigate:
      All apps \x22All<\/div><\/span>
      Windows System<\/div><\/span>
      File Explorer<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
    2. From File Explorer, tap and hold the appropriate removable storage drive (e.g. Secure Digital storage drive (D:)) for approximately 1 second then release.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    3. Click
      Format<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    4. From the \x27Format\x27 screen, ensure the following options are configured as desired:<\/div><\/span>
      • Capacity<\/div><\/li>
      • File system<\/div><\/li>
      • Allocation unit size<\/div><\/li>
      • Volume label<\/div><\/li>
      • Quick Format
        Quick format removes files from the SD \/ memory card but it doesn\x27t scan for bad sectors. The option should only be enabled when the SD \/ memory card has been formatted previously and you\x27re certain the card is not damaged.<\/div><\/div>
        Depending on card capacity, Quick format may take between 15 seconds and 2 minutes to complete. If Quick format isn\x27t selected, the process takes longer (e.g., 20 minutes for an 8 GB card).<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
      • Click
