By knowing how to activate Emergency SOS, you can confidently use your Apple®<\/span> iPhone®<\/span> to get immediate assistance during an emergency. <\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
If you see \x27SOS\x27 or \x27SOS only\x27 in the Status Bar, your device isn\x27t connected to a network, but you can still make emergency calls. Refer to SOS on your iPhone<\/a> for more info.<\/div><\/div>
Emergency SOS via satellite allows you to text emergency services<\/a> from an iPhone 14 model or newer when you\x27re out of cellular and Wi\u002DFi coverage. Visit the Emergency SOS via satellite Support page<\/a> for more info.<\/div><\/div>

iPhone 8 or Newer<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Press and hold the
    Power button<\/div><\/span> and the
    Volume button<\/div><\/span> until Emergency SOS slider appears.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. ¶Ù°ù²¹²µÌý³Ù³ó±ð
    Emergency SOS slider<\/div><\/span> to the right to call emergency services.<\/div><\/span>
    If you continue to press the Power and Volume buttons, instead of dragging the slider, a countdown begins and an alert sounds. If the buttons are still being pressed after countdown ends, your iPhone automatically calls emergency service.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  3. Once the call ends, your iPhone sends your emergency contacts a text message with your current location, unless prompted not too.<\/div><\/span>
    If Location Services is off, it will temporarily turn on. If location changes, contacts receive and update on location.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

    iPhone 7 or Older<\/div><\/h2>
    1. Quickly press and release the
      ³§¾±»å±ðÌý²ú³Ü³Ù³Ù´Ç²Ô<\/div><\/span> or
      Top button<\/div><\/span> 5 times until Emergency SOS slider appears.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. ¶Ù°ù²¹²µÌý³Ù³ó±ð
      Emergency SOS slider<\/div><\/span> to the right to call emergency services.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    3. Once the call ends, your iPhone sends your emergency contacts a text message with your current location, unless prompted not to.<\/div><\/span>
