Managing RTT or TTY settings helps you set up your Apple®<\/span> iPhone®<\/span> for accessible communication via text\u002Dbased calls if you\x27re deaf or hard of hearing.<\/div><\/div>

Set up RTT \/ TTY<\/div><\/h2>

Open the

Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Navigate:

Accessibility<\/div><\/span>

RTT \/ TTY<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Tap the

Software RTT switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

When Software RTT is enabled:<\/div><\/span>

Tap the

Send Immediately switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Tap the

Answer All Calls as RTT \/ TTY switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on then tap

Answer All Calls as RTT \/ TTY<\/div><\/span> to confirm.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div><\/li>

Tap the

±á²¹°ù»å·É²¹°ù±ðÌý°Õ°Õ³ÛÌý²õ·É¾±³Ù³¦³ó<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Place and End an RTT \/ TTY Call<\/div><\/h2>

Open the
±Ê³ó´Ç²Ô±ðÌý²¹±è±è<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Select a contact or enter the 10\u002Ddigit mobile number.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Phone icon<\/div><\/span> then tap \x27RTT \/ TTY Call\x27 or \x27RTT \/ TTY Relay Call\x27.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
When the call is connected, tap the
RTT<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
From the message field, type your message.<\/div><\/span>
When \x27Send Immediately\x27 is enabled in settings, the recipient sees the message as you type.<\/div><\/li>
If not, enter your message then tap the
Arrow icon<\/div><\/span> to send.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
To end the RTT \/ TTY call:<\/div><\/span>
Tap the
Back arrow icon<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
End<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>
