If your Pixel 3 \/ 3 XL drops calls due to being near a network border, locking onto a specific network can help; however, roaming charges may apply.<\/div><\/div>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Navigate:
    Network \x26 internet <\/div><\/span>
    SIMs<\/div><\/span>
    Preferred network type<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Tap the applicable setting:<\/div><\/span>
    • Global<\/div><\/b>: This is the preferred setting for most locations.<\/div><\/li>
    • LTE\/CDMA<\/div><\/b>: This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only LTE\/CDMA is needed.<\/div><\/li>
    • LTE\/GSM\/UMTS<\/div><\/b>: This setting should only be selected if experiencing service issues in locations that offer multiple network types and only GSM\/UMTS is needed.
      The preferred international carrier is automatically selected. To manually select an alternate carrier:<\/div><\/div>
      1. Tap the
        Automatically select network switch<\/div><\/span> to turn off.
        When turned on, the preferred network is automatically selected. Turning off this setting and manually selecting a different network may impact the service.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
      2. Select a carrier.
