Here\x27s how to set up and manage fingerprint recognition to unlock your Pixel 3 \/ 3 XL.<\/div><\/div>
For the fingerprint scanner to operate, hands must be clean and moisture\u002Dfree.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section>
  1. Perform one of the following:<\/div><\/span>
    • First Time Setup
      1. From the \x27Unlock selection\x27 screen, choose an option to use as a backup screen lock (e.g., Pixel Imprint + Pattern, etc.) then follow the instructions to set up the backup screen lock.<\/div><\/li>
      2. From the \x27Touch the sensor\x27 screen, place your finger on the sensor until it vibrates then lift.<\/div><\/li>
      3. From the \x27Lift, then touch again\x27 screen, continue pressing the sensor several times until it shows completed.<\/div><\/li>
      4. Tap
        Done<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
      5. Add More Fingerprints
        1. Tap
          Add fingerprint<\/div><\/span>.
          Up to 5 fingerprints can be registered on the device.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
        2. From the \x27Touch the sensor\x27 screen, place your finger on the sensor until it vibrates then lift.<\/div><\/li>
        3. From the \x27Lift, then touch again\x27 screen, continue pressing the sensor several times until it shows completed.<\/div><\/li>
        4. Tap \x27Done\x27 if finished or \x27Add fingerprint\x27 to continue adding fingerprints.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
        5. Remove Fingerprints
          1. Locate the fingerprint then tap the
