Real\u002Dtime text (RTT) is text transmitted instantly as it is typed or created. Recipients can immediately read the message while it is being written without waiting or the need for an extra device.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div>

Change RTT Visibility<\/div><\/h2>

Open the

Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Navigate:

Accessibility<\/div><\/span>

Hearing enhancements<\/div><\/span>

Real Time Text<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Tap

RTT call button<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Select the preferred setting:<\/div><\/span>

Visible during calls<\/div><\/b>: Show the RTT call button only during RTT calls.<\/div><\/li>

Always visible<\/div><\/b>: Show the RTT call button on the keypad and during all calls.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Make a Call with RTT<\/div><\/h2>

With RTT enabled, open the

Phone app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>

Do one of the following:<\/div><\/span>

From the Keypad tab (lower\u002Dleft), enter a 10\u002Ddigit number then tap the

RTT call icon<\/div><\/span> .<\/div><\/li>

From the Contacts tab (lower\u002Dright), select a contact then tap the

RTT call icon<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Switch a Call to RTT<\/div><\/h2>

While on a call, tap

Real Time Text<\/div><\/span>.
