Set up fingerprint recognition on your Galaxy S20+ 5G \/ S20 Ultra 5G for fast, secure access. Remove saved fingerprints when troubleshooting or changing devices.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
Ensure a secure screen lock (e.g., pattern, PIN. etc.)<\/a> is set up.<\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Navigate:
    Security and privacy<\/div><\/span>
    Biometrics<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Tap
    Fingerprints<\/div><\/span> then tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span> if prompted.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Enter the current PIN, password or pattern.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. Do one of the following:<\/div><\/span>
    • For first\u002Dtime setup:
      1. Review the message then tap
        Register<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
      2. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process is complete.<\/div><\/li>
      3. Tap
        Done<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
      4. Tap the
        Fingerprint unlock switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
      5. To add more fingerprints:
        1. Tap
          Add fingerprint<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
        2. Review the message then tap
          Register<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
        3. Follow the onscreen tutorial to scan your fingerprint then repeat as necessary until the process is complete.<\/div><\/li>
        4. Tap
          Done<\/div><\/span> if finished or
          Add<\/div><\/span> to continue adding fingerprints.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
        5. To remove fingerprints:
          1. Touch and hold a fingerprint (e.g., Fingerprint 1, Fingerprint 2, etc.) until a blue checkmark appears.<\/div><\/li>
          2. Select any additional fingerprints to delete or tap
            All<\/div><\/span> to delete all fingerpints.<\/div><\/li>
          3. Tap
            Remove<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
          4. To confirm, review the disclaimer then tap
