Here\x27s how to configure the hotspot settings (e.g., password, network name, timeout settings, etc.) on your moto g play (2021).<\/div><\/div>

Open the
Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Navigate:
Network \x26 internet<\/div><\/span>
Mobile Hotspot \x26 Tethering<\/div><\/span>
Mobile hotspot<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
From the Mobile Hotspot screen, tap
Advanced<\/div><\/span> then configure the following as needed:<\/div><\/span>
Hotspot name<\/div><\/li>
Hide my device<\/div><\/li>
Security (e.g., None, WPA2 Personal, etc.)<\/div><\/li>
Hotspot password
The new password or network name must be entered on the connecting device.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/li>
AP Band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)<\/div><\/li>
Timeout setting (e.g., 5 minutes, Never turn off, etc.)<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul><\/div><\/li>
Tap
Manage devices<\/div><\/span> then configure any of the following:<\/div><\/span>
Device limit (e.g., 1, 4, 10, etc.)<\/div><\/li>
Manage allowed devices
Tap
Allow all devices<\/div><\/span> to enable or disable.<\/div><\/li>
While enabled tap
Add allowed device<\/div><\/span>, enter the MAC address and device name (optional) then tap
