Here\x27s how to quickly set up your TAB 8 Plus.<\/div><\/div>

If you need to transfer contacts and media from one device to another, follow these step\u002Dby\u002Dstep instructions<\/a> before activating the new device.<\/div><\/div>
To activate the device on prepaid service, refer to Set up ɧ��Ƶ Prepaid Service<\/a>.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section>
Ensure the 5G SIM card is inserted<\/a> in the device prior to powering the device on.<\/div><\/span>

Although the TCL TAB 8 Plus is a 4G\u002Donly device, your tablet is embedded with a pre\u002Dinstalled 5G SIM card. To avoid potential activation \/ service issues, don\x27t insert a 4G SIM card.<\/div><\/div>

If powered off, press and hold the
Power button<\/div><\/span> (top edge when held in portrait) until the TCL screen appears then release.

Select the appropriate language then tap

To continue, review the Privacy policy and Terms of Service then tap

To review, tap each item then tap the
Back icon<\/div><\/span> $\x22Back$ to return to the Terms and Conditions screen.<\/div><\/div>

From the Tablet Activation screen, tap
NEXT<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>

If prompted, enter the account PIN<\/a> then follow the on\u002Dscreen prompts (see Account PIN FAQs<\/a> for additional info). <\/div><\/div>
If activating a new tablet on an existing phone number, ensure the old device is powered off.<\/div><\/div>

From the \x27Set up Wi\u002DFi\x27 screen, select a network, enter the password then tap
Next<\/div><\/span> to continue.<\/div><\/span>

If you choose not to add a network, you can add Wi\u002DFi networks<\/a> after setup is complete.<\/div><\/div>

From the \x27Copy apps \x26 data\x27 screen, tap
Next<\/div><\/span> then follow the on\u002Dscreen options.<\/div><\/span>

If you\x27d like a fresh start, tap

If troubleshooting, don\x27t restore the device until all testing has been completed.<\/div><\/div>

Sign in to your existing Google™<\/span> account or create a new one.<\/div><\/span>

Tap
Skip<\/div><\/span> to add a Google account<\/a> after the setup is complete. <\/div><\/div>
If you choose not to add a Google account, skip to step 10.<\/div><\/div>

From the Date \x26 time screen, ensure the following switch(es) are turned on then tap

Use network\u002Dprovided time zone<\/div><\/li>
Use location to set time zone<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ul>

From the Google Services screen, select any of the options to turn on $\x22Switch$ or off $\x22Switch$ then tap
Accept<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>

If necessary, tap
More<\/div><\/span> to review additional services. <\/div><\/div>

From the \x27Unlock with face\x27 screen, tap
Next<\/div><\/span> then follow the on\u002Dscreen instructions to add your fingerprint(s) and set up a screen lock method.<\/div><\/span>

Tap
Skip<\/div><\/span> to add a screen lock<\/a> or set up face recognition<\/a> after setup is complete.<\/div><\/div>

Review additional apps to be downloaded over Wi\u002DFi then tap

From the ɧ��Ƶ Services screen, tap the applicable switch(es) to turn the available options (Location info, Apps info) on or off then tap
