With automatic backups, app settings and personal data on your Pixel 9 \/ 9 Pro \/ 9 Pro XL are saved to your Googleâ„¢<\/span> account, making it easy to restore everything after a reset.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
When a Google account is added to your phone, previous backups are restored. This can be done by adding an existing Google account<\/a> to your already active phone or by signing in to the same Google account while setting up your new phone or after a reset<\/a>.<\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Navigate:
    System<\/div><\/span>
    Backup<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. If prompted, select the data you want to back up (Photos \x26 videos, Other device data, or both), tap
    Confirm<\/div><\/span> then tap \x27OK\x27 or \x27Manage backup\x27.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. If \x27Other device data\x27 is on, do any of the following:<\/div><\/span>
    • Turn Photo and Video Backup On \/ Off:
      1. Tap
        Photos \x26 videos<\/div><\/span> from the Backup details section.<\/div><\/li>
      2. Tap the
        Backup switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
      3. Change Backup Accounts:
        1. Tap
          Account storage<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/li>
        2. Tap the preferred Googleâ„¢<\/span> (Gmailâ„¢<\/span>) account or tap \x27Add account\x27.<\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol> <\/div><\/li>
        3. Turn All Backups Off:
          1. Tap the
            Backup by Google One switch<\/div><\/span>to turn off.<\/div><\/li>
          2. Tap
            Turn off \x26 delete<\/div><\/span> to confirm.
