Apple iPad <\/div><\/span> Cellular Data Activation<\/div><\/h1>
Activating your cellular data plan from your Apple®<\/span> iPad®<\/span> allows you to enjoy seamless internet connectivity, making your device truly mobile for work, entertainment, and communication.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
If a cellular data account has already been activated for your iPad, refer to Cellular Data Account Login<\/a> for assistance logging in to the account. It may be necessary to reprovision the account<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>
Ensure a SIM card is inserted<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>
For Standard Monthly Cellular Data Activation with an Existing Monthly Data Plan, the account must have a monthly ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Mobile Broadband data plan.<\/div><\/div>
For prepaid Cellular Data, refer to Prepaid Cellular Data Activation<\/a> for assistance.<\/div><\/div>
Only Account Owners and Account Managers are allowed to add lines to an existing account.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Prepaid Cellular Data Activation<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Tap
    Cellular Data<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
    Cellular Data must be turned on to continue.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  3. From the Cellular Plans section, tap the
    Info icon<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Tap
    View Account<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. Tap
    Set Up New Account<\/div><\/span> then tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  6. Enter the user info (e.g., First name, Last name, etc.).<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  7. Enter the login info (e.g., Email, Password, etc.).<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  8. Select the monthly prepaid data plan.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  9. Select the credit card type (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or Amex).<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  10. Enter the payment and billing info then tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  11. Review the Terms and Conditions then tap
    Agree<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  12. Verify the payment summary info then tap
    Submit<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  13. When the congratulations screen displays, tap
    OK<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  14. To confirm, tap
    OK<\/div><\/span> if prompted.<\/div><\/span>
    A confirmation email is sent to the given email address once account creation is successful.<\/div><\/div>

    Standard Monthly Cellular Data Activation With an Existing Monthly Data Plan<\/div><\/h2>
    1. Open the
      Safari app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. Tap
      OK<\/div><\/span> when prompted with \x27Press OK to activate data plan...\x27.<\/div><\/span>
      It may take several minutes to complete the activation.<\/div><\/div>
      If prompted with Could not activate Cellular data, tap
      OK<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/div>
      If prompted with \x27You have not signed up for a data plan. Would you like to set up a new account?\x27, tap
      Now<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
    3. Tap
      OK<\/div><\/span> when prompted with Cellular data plan is updated.<\/div><\/span>
      The iPad power cycles after the update.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

      Self\u002DActivate a New Standard Monthly Data Plan on an Existing Account<\/div><\/h2>
      1. Open the
        Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      2. Tap
        Cellular Data<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      3. From the Cellular Plans section, tap the
        Info icon<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      4. Tap
        View Account<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      5. Tap
        Add to Existing ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Wireless Account<\/div><\/span> then tap
        Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
        Selecting populates the ability to enter
        My ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ<\/div><\/span> username and password.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
      6. Enter the My ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ username and password then tap
        Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
        If a My ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ account hasn\x27t been set up, or the password is forgotten, navigate to the My ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ Registration<\/a> page from a computer and follow the instructions.<\/div><\/div>
        If the account was an existing prepaid account and the My ɧ»¢ÊÓÆµ username and password is entered, there\x27s a prompt to continue with a prepaid activation.           • Choose the desired recurring domestic plan option then tap
            Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Review the Terms of Service then tap
            Agree<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Review the Billing Summary then tap
            Submit<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          • Tap
            OK<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
