The Find My app is essential if you have an Apple®<\/span> iPad®<\/span>. It allows you to track your device\x27s location, play a sound to find it nearby, or even erase its data if it falls into the wrong hands.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
Find My is an app that assists with locating a missing Apple device from another Apple device or computer. If you no longer have access to an Apple device, refer to Locate an iOS Device \u002D iCloud Website<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>
To see all the devices when you sign in to the Find My app, each device must be set up with the same iCloud®<\/span> account.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Locate Device<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Find My app<\/div><\/span> .<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Tap
    Devices<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Select a device from the list to view it\x27s location.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

    Locate Items (AirTag)<\/div><\/h2>
    1. Open the
      Find My app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. Tap
      Items<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    3. Select an AirTag from the list to view it\x27s location.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

      Play Sound<\/div><\/h2>
      1. Open the
        Find My app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      2. Tap
        Devices<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      3. Select a device from the list.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
      4. Tap
        Play Sound<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

        Lost Mode<\/div><\/h2>
        1. Open the
          Find My app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
        2. Tap
          Devices<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
        3. Tap the desired device then tap
          Lost Mode<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
        4. Review the Lost Mode screen, then tap
          Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
        5. Enter a phone number then tap
          Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
        6. Enter a message to be shown on the lost device\x27s screen then tap

        7. Tap

          Erase iPad<\/div><\/h2>
          1. Open the
            Find My app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          2. Tap
            Devices<\/div><\/span> or
            Items<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          3. Tap the desired device then tap
            Erase<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          4. Review the screen message then tap
            Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          5. Enter a phone number then tap
            Erase<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
          6. Enter a message to be shown on the lost device\x27s screen then tap

          7. Enter the Apple ID password then tap

            1. Open the
              Find My app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
            2. Tap
              Devices<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
            3. Tap the desired offline device.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
            4. Tap
              Remove<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
            5. To confirm, tap
              Remove<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

              Sign Out<\/div><\/h2>
              1. Open the

              2. Tap the

              3. Navigate:

              4. Tap the
                Find My iPad switch<\/div><\/span> to disable.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
              5. Enter your Apple ID password then tap
