Setting up a new Apple ID on your Apple®<\/span> iPad ®<\/span> allows you to personalize your device and securely use services like iCloud®, FaceTime®, and iMessage®.<\/div><\/div>

You can also create an ID for your iPad by visiting the Create Your Apple ID website<\/a>. <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Tap
    Apple Account<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Tap
    Don\x27t have an Apple ID<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
    The option to create a new Apple ID shows only when not logged in with an existing ID.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  4. Enter your first and last name and birthdate in the spaces provided then tap
    Next<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  5. From the Email Address screen, tap
    Don\x27t have an email address?<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  6. Tap
    Get an iCloud Email Address<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  7. From the Email Address screen, enter your preferred email then tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
    The email address entered becomes your Apple ID.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  8. Tap
    Create Email Address<\/div><\/span> to confirm.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  9. Enter the password into the required fields then tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  10. From the Phone Number screen, tap
    Continue<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  11. To continue, review the Terms and Conditions then tap
    Agree<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  12. To confirm, tap
