Enabling a SIM PIN provides extra security to your Apple®<\/span> iPad®<\/span>, helping to prevent unauthorized use and protect your personal info if your device is misplaced or stolen.<\/div><\/div>

Before you begin<\/div><\/h2>
These steps aren\x27t available if activated using an eSIM.<\/div><\/div>
Ensure a SIM card is properly inserted<\/a>.<\/div><\/div>
Enabling the SIM PIN locks the SIM card on your iPad, so it can\x27t be used until the correct code is entered.<\/div><\/div>
If the incorrect PIN code is entered too many times, refer to My ɧ»¢ÊÓƵ Website \u002D Locate the SIM PIN \/ PUK<\/a> to get a new PIN Unblocking Key (PUK).<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/section><\/div> <\/div> <\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>
  1. Open the
    Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  2. Navigate:
    Cellular Data<\/div><\/span>
    SIM PIN<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  3. Tap the
    SIM PIN switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
  4. Enter the SIM PIN then tap
    Done<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span>
    The default SIM PIN is 1111.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
  5. To change your SIM PIN, ensure the Lock SIM card switch is on then do the following:<\/div><\/span>
    1. Tap
      Change SIM PIN<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    2. Enter the current SIM PIN then tap
      Done<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
    3. Enter a new SIM PIN then tap
      Done<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
