Configure iCloud®<\/span> backup options on your Apple®<\/span> iPad®<\/span> to help protect your important data, ensuring your photos, contacts and other info are securely stored and easily recoverable.<\/div><\/div>

Steps<\/div><\/h2>

Open the
Settings app<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Apple profile<\/div><\/span> (e.g., John Doe) at the top of the Settings menu.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
iCloud<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
Photos<\/div><\/span> then tap the
Sync this iPad switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off. <\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
With the Sync this iPad switch turned on, do the following:<\/div><\/span>
Select
Optimize iPad Storage<\/div><\/span> or
Download and Keep Originals<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
If applicable, tap the
Upload to My Photo Stream switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Shared Albums switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Back arrow icon<\/div><\/span> in the upper left to return to the previous screen.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
iCloud Backup<\/div><\/span> then tap the
Back Up This iPad switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span>
Tap
Back Up Now<\/div><\/span> to complete a manual backup.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Back arrow icon<\/div><\/span> in the upper left to return to the previous screen.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
See All<\/div><\/span> then tap the preferred switches to turn the available backup options (e.g., Mail, Contacts, Messages, etc.) on or off.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap
Passwords and Keychain<\/div><\/span>.<\/div><\/span><\/div><\/li>
Tap the
Sync this iPad switch<\/div><\/span> to turn on or off.<\/div><\/span>
Keeps passwords and credit card info saved on the devices you approve.<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li><\/div><\/ol><\/div> <\/div>
